Maxi Affair

Bag: Aldo, Top, Skirt and Shoes: Forever21

I wanted to do this post since quite a while but somehow it just kept on getting delayed. I did this shoot while I was in Rajasthan. As there clearly is nip in the air so this would be my last summer’s post for the year because of which I thought of ending the summerish posts with a Maxi Skirt as I feel a Maxi Skirt transitions effortlessly from spring and summer into the winters.

Do you think it’s true, or is it just me that Maxi Skirts are easy to style, are versatile and super feminine? Maxi trend has been around quite some time now, and for me it is the perfect definition of chic!

To style your maxi skirts for the colder months, focus on layering pieces to keep fashionably bundled and you’re good to go!

Colour Blocked Affair

Top and Skirt : H&M, Heels: Gifted ( London ), Sunglasses: Prada

Winters are approaching bringing along the trend of neutral colours, so before that happens I thought of doing a post on Colour Blocking.

Colour blocking is wearing a combination of different solid colours together in one outfit. You can pair two or three contrasting colours, at most four but you can't just pile on every colour you find in your wardrobe which might make you look like the human rainbow. It's good to anchor your outfit with a neutral colour like black, white, grey or beige. To find out which colours are complementary, the use of this colour wheel will help.

When colour blocking your outfits, try out these combinations:
Complementary colours: These are colours placed directly opposite each other on the wheel. Like yellow and violet in my outfit.

Analogous colours: These are any three colours lined up next to each other on the colour wheel. Example: orange, red-orange and red.

T colours: These are colours that form a 'T' shape. Like yellow, purple and blue green which is there in my heels.

90 degree angles: Combine colours that are at a right angle with each other. Example: Orange-yellow and green or red and violet.

I decided to pair up yellow with violet i.e using “complementary colours” opposite to each other on the wheel, along with using the “T colours” combination for my footwear.

It's not what you wear, It's how you wear it !

Fashion is the perfect way to show your unique traits to the world.
When properly dressed, you will always feel more confident and empowered.

The secret behind styling an ensemble fashionably is not always adding new clothes to your wardrobe rather experimenting with your outfits and accessorizing it stylishly can do the trick.

Have to go for a last-minute unplanned outing?
Don't feel like investing on new clothes?
Your wardrobe spills over yet nothing to wear?
You wore that favourite outfit of yours on an insignificant day?
Don't worry, You arent deadlocked ! Convert an existing outfit into a newer look, just by styling it differently .
Experiment to find out what clothes and colours flatter your body, get quirky and creative, take risks with style.

Have your own personal style, don't forget great style is style that is truly your own !
Options are endless, all you have to do is to put that extra effort in styling your look. After all, its better to arrive late than ugly, isn't it ?

Lastly, the 2 most important things which can complete your look-Confidence and Smile ! Never miss out on these ;)

A Vintage Affair

Jump Suit : Forever21, Coin Necklace : Vintage, Bag and Shoes : Zara

Hey!

I thought of naming this post as “A Vintage Affair“ because my whole look revolves around my favourite accessory lately i.e. my Vintage Coin Necklace. I found this tribal necklace in my mother’s vintage jewellery collection and have been styling it with every outfit of mine in some way or the other since then. I’m wearing it as a head-gear in my one of my recent posts - “Striped Affair”.
A Statement Necklace is all you need to have that extra oomph added to your ensemble!
I have styled my red cross-back jumpsuit with a statement coin necklace, chained shoulder bag and pointed shoes et voila !
But remember, Balance is key! If you have a bold statement necklace, go lighter on the bracelets and earrings or just skip that part and you're good to go !

Also, there is a Giveaway going on, on my blog..Checkout “A Giveaway Affair” blog post for more details.

Have a great week ahead !

Striped Affair

Skirt : Oasis, Top : Forever21, Coin Necklace : Old, Pink Heels : Zara, Lita Boots : H&M

So, I know I’ve been obsessed with skirts these days especially mid-length ones but they just can’t stop grabbing my attention. I have styled striped midi skirt with a white tube top and accessorized the ensemble with my favourite accessories lately – Coin jewellery. I have used my vintage coin necklace set as a head-gear in one of the looks. These awesome statement coin detailing necklaces are perfect for the bohemian in you. I found these necklaces hidden somewhere in my jewellery box but you can also make them yourself – All you have to do is find the old coins from your travels buried at the bottom of your purse, or clanging around in a jar somewhere? Why not turn them into unique jewellery ? Give it a try !

Also, I’ll posting my first giveaway contest in a while, tonight itself.. Stay tuned !

A Make Up Affair

Hey guys !
I’m happy to share it with you all that Voguish Affair completes 1 month today, Thanks a million to each one of you for your love and support !!

Today’s post is slightly different from my other blogposts and was requested by a viewer. I’ll be sharing with you all my most favourite makeup products that I have been religiously using these days and just can’t do without.
Also, at the end of this post I have something else as well to share with you guys ;)

So here goes a list of my faves :

Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator :  It gives an instant fresh and radiant look and acts as a perfect primer to reduce any dark spots or blemishes before makeup. It makes the skin look noticeably clearer, brighter and more even-toned.

Mac Studio Finish Concealer : This creamy concealer is by far the best concealers I have used. Its SPF 35 is an added bonus !

Diorskin Fluid Liquid Foundation : This is by far the best foundation I have ever used. Dior's fluidskin makeup is like none other, It feels like silk on my skin giving a flawless look and full-coverage.

Studio Fix by Mac : I dont usually apply liquid foundation everyday and prefer this matte powder for daily use over my lakme CC cream and sunscreen.

Estee Lauder Double shade Blusher : Blush enhances your cheek bones and gives a made-up look to your face. This blusher has 2 shades one is natural nude type of a colour and the other one is pink. I like mixing these 2 colours for a more natural bloom on my cheeks.

The Body Shop's Double Intensity Mascara : I'm already having thick lashes so I don't usually wear mascara but whenever I do it is this one only.It is by far the best mascara Ive tried, even better than Dior and Estee Lauder Mascaras. The best part about this Mascara is that it has 2 wands, one of which is a primer. My lashes are very sensitive but since its Body Shop so its not at all harsh on my lashes.

Mac Liquid Eye Liner : I just cant leave the house without an eye-liner and this long stay waterproof eyeliner tops my favourites' list .

Mac Kohl Pencil : I don't usually apply Kajal because it sort of irritates me in the eyes but this kohl pencil works the best for me.

ColorBar Lipstick : If you knew me personally you would know that this is my most favourite lip colour and usually on my lips. I dont think I can ever get over with this shade. It matches my skin tone perfectly ! Its a mixture of peach, pink and brown and I havent found something of this sorts on any other brand so has to be on my fave list.

Dior Eye Makeup Palette : This eye makeup  palette is currently my most favourite makeup product. I use it to shape my eyebrows, I use its peach eye shadow for defining my eyes and the other colours for a more dramatic smokey eye look, I sometimes use the dark brown shade for contouring my nose. So basically this is my all-in-one eye makeup solution AND I won this palette on a giveaway of a youtube channel - MyHappinesz , do checkout this channel for amazing makeup tutorials and a lot more :  https://www.youtube.com/user/MyHappinesz

So, that was about my favourite makeup products, Hope you all liked it <3

I had planned to do a GIVEAWAY blogpost today for completing one month on blogspot but couldn't because unfortunately I'm down with fever, cough and cold but nevertheless I'll be doing a GIVEAWAY post for you guys very soon so stay tuned :) :)
